Europa Park Information

Located in the Black Forest region of southwestern Germany, Europa-Park welcomes more than 4 million visitors each year. It is the country's largest theme park. With operating hours that typically run from Easter to early November, with a second shorter season during the Christmas holidays, Europa-park is the second most visited seasonal amusement park in Europe. The park has more than 100 thrill rides, live shows and other attractions, including 11 roller coasters. Opened in 1975, the park develops exciting new rides and shows each year.

Visitors will find that the park is organized around 14 European themed areas. Each one represents the culture of a country or region within Europe, such as Iceland, Italy or Scandinavia. Guests can climb aboard a watercraft, travel through the Indonesian jungle and witness a pirate attack on a Dutch colony or experience the macabre atmosphere of a haunted medieval castle. Enter a Byzantine church accented by Greek mythology and have your senses stimulated as you lose your orientation. The universe of energy exhibit takes visitors back in time to when dinosaurs roamed the Earth as they experience the power of waterfalls and geysers. Guests can feel the excitement of a whitewater rafting trip, take a ride down a log flume or be thrilled by some of Europe's tallest and fastest roller coasters that travel forward, backward, upside down and through the dark. Children will enjoy the playgrounds and the Hans Christian Andersen inspired fairy tale tower.

Europa-Park is family friendly theme park with a wide variety of services available for parents with children. One special service is called "baby switch." This program enables one parent to remain with their child and then, once the first parent has finished, ride the attraction without having to wait in line again. The park also allows dogs as long as they remain on a leash. There are numerous restaurants within the park as well as an eclectic mix of shops and, of course, a Bavarian-style beer garden. The park is the host to a magnificent pyrotechnics display in July and Halloween-themed horror nights in October. Guests of the resort can also enjoy evening movies in the park's Magic 4D cinema.

Germany's most popular theme park, Europa-Park, with its attractions, rides and amenities, is fun for the whole family.
