Directions To Six Flags Over Georgia
Six Flags Georgia is located just off Interstate 20 and near Riverside Parkway in Austell, Georgia. It is only about 30 minutes west of Atlanta in the western portion of the state. Getting to Six Flags Georgia is fairly easy, no matter which direction you are coming from on the map.
To get to Six Flags Georgia from the west, just take Interstate 20 until you get to exit 46A or 47. Take one of those exits, which are both clearly marked for Six Flags Georgia, and follow the signs to get to the park. Exit 46A will take you onto Riverside Parkway, which has various exits onto Six Flags Way Southwest, Six Flags Parkway Southwest, Six Flags Drive and a service road that runs directly in front of the park and allows access to its east side. Follow the directions to get to the specific parking area you wish to reach. In order to get there from the east, you can only take Exit 46 to make it to the park from Interstate 20.
If you want to get to the park from the Southeast, around the Macon area, take Interstate 16 until you get to Interstate 75 and then Interstate 285 North. Follow Interstate 285 North until you reach Interstate 20 West, then follow the signs to the Six Flags Georgia exit.
In order to come through the Montgomery, Alabama, area, you will travel eastward on Interstate 85 until you get to Georgia. From there you will get onto Interstate 285 North until it meets up with Interstate 20 West. Take Interstate 20 West until you reach Exit 47 or 46 A to go to the park.
From the north there are alternate routes, depending on where you enter the state. If you come in from Greenville, South Carolina, you will travel southwest on Interstate 185 until it meets up with Interstate 85 in Georgia. Continue on Interstate 85 to Interstate 285 West, then take that road to Interstate 20 West and follow the exit signs. To enter from the northern city of Nashville, Tennessee, you will first travel east on Interstate 40 before getting on Interstate 24 to continue into Georgia. Follow Interstate 24 to Tennessee again, then continue east on Interstate 24 and then Interstate 75 back into Georgia. From Interstate 75 you will exit onto Interstate 285 West, then later onto Interstate 20 West before looking for the correct Six Flags Georgia exits.
